Measurements: 13” x 15 ½“

Gauge: 4 inches = 21 sts & 18 rows

 Materials:

Berroco Folio in Tidal (color 1), Pearl (color 2), and Bailey (color 3).

G hook – 4.25mm

Yarn needle

Stitch markers

 Stitches used (US Terms):

st(s) – stitches

ch – chain

hdc – half double crochet

slst – slip stitch

blp – back loop

flp- front loop

3rd lp – third loop

 Notes:

When working on the waffle rib, be sure to stack the flp sts on top of the blp sts, the blp sts on top of the flp sts.

 To have a straight seam, on even rows hdc in the st under the ch2. On odd rows skip st under the ch2 and finish the row in the slst of previous round.


Worked on the wrong side.


With color 1 Ch 142.

Row 1: hdc in each ch (140 sts) slst in 1st ch to create a round.

Row 2: ch 2, hdc in st under ch 2 *waffle rib: hdc in blp, hdc in flp* repeat from *to* until last 2 sts, hdc blp, hdc, slst in 1st st.

Row 3: ch 2, skip st under ch2, hdc, *waffle rib: hdc in blp, hdc in flp* repeat from *to* until last 2 sts, hdc blp, hdc, slst in 1st st.

Row 4: repeat row 2

Row 5: repeat row 3

Row 6: repeat row 2, changing to color 2 at the end of the round.

Row 7: ch 2, skip st under ch2, hdc in each st, slst in 1st st.

Row 8: ch 1, hdc in 3rd lp of 1st stitch under ch1, hdc in 3rd lp of each st, slst in 1st stich (changing to color 3).

Row 9: ch 2, skip st under ch2, hdc in each st, slst in 1st st.

Row 10: repeat row 2

Row 11: repeat row 3

Row 12: repeat row 2

Row 13: repeat row 3

Row 14: repeat row 2, changing to color 2.

Row 15: repeat row 7

Row 16: repeat row 8, changing to color 1

Repeat rows 1-16 until desired length. (I went to row 70.)
