Lucy Maud Montgomery

When a designer is trying to come up with names for patterns, or colorways, it can be very difficult to be creative. I mean, we just used all our creative juices on the design, right!?!?!? So I started naming my designs with something that would revolve around a woman who inspires me. For example: Lucy Maud Montgomery  Most known as being the author of Anne of Green Gables . My first introduction to Anne was the 1980's Canadian film starring Megan Follows. * sigh * I love these movies so much and have watched them so many times. It was until my favorite podcast, The History Chicks , cover her that I really discovered who she was (and finally read the books). She is Episode 88 . Born in Clifton, Prince Edward Island, Canada (now New London). Raised by her grandparents, she had a very active imagination, something that she shares with Anne. Eventually she married a minister and had two sons. I won't get too much into her life, I'll leave that to the experts. Last fall, my mot...
